Sandhills Classical Christian School is accredited by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. ACCS is the premiere classical Christian school accreditation agency in the nation.

Sandhills Classical Christian School, established in 1999, adheres to a classical and Christian pedagogy. The curriculum is rigorous, college-preparatory, and founded upon the ancient and traditional liberal arts. The school’s classical curriculum offers to colleges and universities high school graduates uniquely qualified to engage in intellectual debate and exploration. We place a profound weight on each student’s understanding of the interconnectedness of all subjects and the imperative to synthesize them. This Pre3-12 school with multiple campus locations and a student body of 545, is located in the Sandhills of North Carolina… Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Whispering Pines.

SCCS Preschool offers nurturing classrooms for 3- and 4-year-olds, as well as an excellent pre-kindergarten program. Our goal is to love and educate children through dynamic individual and group-structured activities, hands-on experiences, and personal creativity. Half Day Classes: 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Full Day Classes: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Admission to Sandhills Classical Christian School is selective and holistic. We consider each applicant based upon academic records, teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, pre-admission assessments, and student and family interviews. Sandhills Classical Christian School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.


Graduation candidates of Sandhills Classical Christian School must have at least a C average (70% or higher). Given the high value we place on academic rigor and the abilities of our students, most courses are taught at an Honors level. Designated Honors classes receive weighted grades of .5 point. Also of note is the study of Latin, which begins in third grade and continues as a required course through eighth grade. Logic, Rhetoric, Senior Thesis, and Capstone classes complete the classical model.
